Wheelsystem strengthens global expansion – appoints Håkan Ohlin as Chief Commercial Officer

Wheelsystem is accelerating its international growth strategy and has appointed Håkan Ohlin as Chief Commercial Officer. This recruitment marks a strategic step in the company’s ambition to scale its business globally, with a focus on structured, profitable, and long-term sustainable growth. Håkan assumes his role today, April 1, 2026.

Håkan Ohlin brings more than 20 years of experience from senior leadership positions in the automotive industry, primarily within the MEKO Group. He has extensive experience in leading and developing businesses in growth phases, often in technical and fast-changing environments, with responsibility for strategy, performance, and organization. His profile combines strategic vision with strong operational execution and a clear focus on structure, prioritization, and sustainable ways of working.

– We are in a strong growth phase with a focus on Germany, Northern Europe, and global expansion. Håkan’s experience in building scalable businesses, creating structure in sales and business processes, and working closely with both organization and customers will be an important addition to our continued journey, says Fredrik Lingeskog, CEO of Wheelsystem.

Wheelsystem develops and delivers intelligent systems for tire and wheel management – including automated storage solutions, wheel washers, and digital tire scanning. These solutions streamline workshop operations, improve the working environment, and enable recurring revenue streams, while strengthening the customer experience and workshop profitability.

Under Håkan Ohlin’s leadership, Wheelsystem will further strengthen and unify its commercial operations. With a clearer focus on structure, performance management, and standardized ways of working, the company aims to further develop its market approach, strengthen its partner business, and create better conditions for scalable growth.

– Wheelsystem stands on a strong Swedish foundation with clear values centered on quality, accountability, and entrepreneurship. This gives us a unique platform for international expansion. The future of the tire business is not built on individual products, but on intelligent systems, optimized workflows, and data-driven solutions that create tangible business value. Through a more integrated and structured offering, we can achieve both higher profitability and stronger, long-term customer relationships, says Håkan Ohlin.

Data-driven analysis of tread depth and tire condition creates transparency and enables proactive service, upselling, and long-term customer relationships. Efficient and digitalized tire management is therefore no longer just a service, but a business-critical investment for workshops aiming to strengthen their competitiveness.

Wheelsystem is also opening up new opportunities for partners to grow alongside the company in Germany, Northern Europe, and globally.

The company is built on a strong Swedish platform, with headquarters, warehouse, and assembly in Smålandsstenar, as well as in-house production in Bredaryd, ensuring high quality and delivery capability throughout the entire value chain.

The latest innovations were recently showcased at Automässan in Sweden. The next major international presence will be at Automechanika in Frankfurt in 2026.

– We are very pleased to welcome Håkan to Wheelsystem. With his experience and leadership, we see great opportunities to accelerate our global expansion and create long-term value for both customers and partners, says Fredrik Lingeskog.
